Practical Classes
The purpose of the practical Class is to study the anatomical and histological Structure OF THE Endocrine glands.
Equipment: a set of histological specimens, electron micrographs, diagrams, tables, slides, a Microscope, and a slide projector.
Course of work. The student is expected to know: 1) the general structure of the Endocrine System; 2) examine from histological specimens and micrographs: a) the Pituitary Gland; b) The Thyroid Gland; c) the Adrenal gland; d) the Pancreas; 3) the Functions of the endocrine glands; 4) the principles of Regulation of the endocrine glands.
Protocol preparation. Draw the diagram of The structure of pancreatic insulocytes and the diagram of a glandulocyte, and provide the labels. List the main Hormones produced by the Glands of the endocrine system.
