Organs and Organ Systems. The Organism as a Whole

An organ is a part of the body that has a specific shape and Structure, occupies a particular position, and performs a specific function. Various tissues participate in The formation of any organ, but only one of them is primary, while the others perform an auxiliary function. Produced in the nervous system in low concentrations, they exert an exceptionally strong influence on the endocrine apparatus.
