Pyelonephritically contracted Kidney
Nephrosclerosis and renal shrinkage occur not only primarily in Hypertension, but also secondarily as a consequence of inflammatory processes in the glomeruli, tubules, and stroma. Secondary renal contraction is most commonly the result of Chronic Glomerulonephritis (secondary nephrotic contracted kidney), less frequently of Pyelonephritis (pyelonephritic contracted kidney), amyloid nephrosis (amyloid-contracted Kidneys), urolithiasis, Renal tuberculosis, and others.
