Tissues - Connective Tissue - Blood and Lymph
The intercellular substance of Blood (plasma) and Lymph lacks fibrous structures, which is why these types of Connective Tissue have a liquid consistency. The chemical composition of lymph is close to that of plasma, which contains the so-called formed elements: red Blood Cells (erythrocytes), white blood cells (leukocytes), and Blood Platelets (thrombocytes). In mammals, among the listed formed elements, only leukocytes share this Structure. Erythrocytes are represented by post-cellular formations because, as they develop from nucleated cells, they lose their nuclei in The process of Hemoglobin accumulation. In mammals, thrombocytes are fragments of the Cytoplasm of special giant cells (megakaryocytes) found predominantly in the Cytology/practical/86.html">Red Bone Marrow. Leukocytes are subdivided into granular (granulocytes) and agranular (agranulocytes). In turn, granulocytes have an affinity for acidic, basic, or neutral Dyes, and are therefore classified as oxyphilic, basophilic, and neutrophilic.
