The Kidneys are firm, with a coarsely nodular surface due to the presence of prominent scars; structural remodeling of the kidneys is observed. Nephrosclerosis and kidney shrinkage occur not only primarily in Hypertension, but also secondarily. The consequence of nephrosclerosis of any Etiology is The Development of Chronic Kidney Disease.
