Apostematous Pyelonephritis
The Kidney is enlarged, flabby, gray-colored, and variegated. Beneath the capsule, pale gray foci with a diameter of 0.2–0.8 cm are visible; these are subcapsular abscesses. Microbial embolism is observed, wherein microorganisms spread hematogenously throughout the body, which is frequently seen in Sepsis.
