The Spermatic Cord, funiculus spermaticus, is a paired Anatomical Structure 15–20 cm in length (see Fig. 318). It extends from the Testis to the deep inguinal ring, with its initial section located within the Scrotum.

The spermatic cord consists of the following structures:

- Ductus deferens;

- testicular artery and vein, arteriae et venae testicularis;

- pampiniform venous plexus, pl. pampiniformis;

- artery and vein of the ductus deferens, a. et v. deferenciatis;

- Lymphatic vessels, vasa lymphatica;

- testicular nerve plexus, pl. testicularis;

- Lymphatic vessels and the obliterated remnant of the processus vaginalis peritonei.

Coverings of the spermatic cord and testis, tunicae funiculi spermatid et testis (Fig. 320):

- Skin, cutis;

- dartos tunic, tunica dartos;

- external spermatic fascia, fascia spermatica exterm;

- cremasteric fascia, fascia cremasterica;

- cremaster Muscle, musculus cremaster;

- internal spermatic fascia, fascia spermatica;

- tunica vaginalis testis.

1 Seminal Vesicle, gl. vesiculosa — this term should be used instead of vesicula seminalis, because the organ is not a sperm reservoir, but a gland that secretes a significant portion of the seminal fluid (Terminologia Anatomica, 1998).

The tunica vaginalis testis consists of parietal and visceral serous layers, between which There is a slit-like cavity. During inflammation of the testis, fluid accumulates in this cavity, requiring surgical intervention.
