CAUSES AND MECHANISMS OF DISORDERS IN ENDOCRINE REGULATION

Among the numerous etiological factors of endocrine disorders, the primary ones include psychological trauma, necrosis, tumors, inflammatory processes, bacterial and viral infections, intoxications, local Circulatory Disorders (Hemorrhage, thrombosis), dietary factors (deficiency of iodine and cobalt in food and drinking Water, excessive carbohydrate intake), ionizing radiation, and congenital chromosomal and Gene abnormalities.

Hereditary factors play a major role in the onset of endocrine disorders, which are frequently revealed during Medical and Genetic examinations of, for example, patients with Diabetes Mellitus and their relatives.

The leading role in the Pathogenesis of most endocrine disorders is played by decreased (hypofunction) or increased (hyperfunction) activity of the Endocrine glands.
