5. FUNDAMENTALS OF EMBRYOLOGY
Differentiation of the embryonic ectoderm during its transformation into various tissues
Neurulation gives rise to three sets of Cells:
1) neural tube cells, which during development differentiate into Neurons, Glia, and ependymal Cells of the Central Nervous system;
2) neural crest cells, which subsequently form the Peripheral Nervous System, pigment cells, The adrenal medulla, and certain HEAD cartilages;
3) epidermal cells of the Skin, which later participate in The formation of cutaneous structures such as Hair, Sweat Glands, and Sebaceous Glands.
