20.1. REGULATION OF ENZYME SYNTHESIS

This type of regulation is characteristic of many metabolic pathways. As a rule, the synthesis of multiple Enzymes belonging to the same pathway is regulated simultaneously. The purpose of this regulation is to ensure an appropriate balance between the synthesis rate of specific enzymes and the overall cellular Protein Synthesis rate.
