Human Anatomy - Kotsan I. Ya. 2009
Preface
Human anatomy is one of the most comprehensive and complex disciplines exploring body Structure, Morphology, and developmental patterns. Given that human anatomy has long been studied primarily through Russian-language textbooks and manuals—with the last Ukrainian-language edition of Human Anatomy for natural science students published as far back as 1966 (authored by M.M. Sauliak-Savytska)—there arose a pressing need for a comprehensive textbook on human anatomy in Ukrainian. This necessity is further driven by the wealth of recent scientific discoveries regarding The structure of human Organs and Organ Systems that were absent from previous editions. Furthermore, direct Translation of anatomical terms from Russian into Ukrainian is not always feasible. Some Anatomical Terminology concerning organ names and structures has also been revised and standardized by the Nomenclature Committee. The proposed textbook contains anatomical terms in Ukrainian and Latin, organized systematically. This makes the publication valuable not only for students of biological faculties in higher education institutions, but also for students and faculty of higher and secondary medical schools, as well as institutes of physical education.
Throughout the writing process, the authors creatively incorporated The most significant Definitions and interpretations from textbooks, monographs, reference books, and dictionaries by leading domestic and foreign experts.
To facilitate learning and improve comprehension, the textbook is richly illustrated with relevant figures and tables. Key Latin terms are provided at the end of each topic, and anatomical structures are highlighted using specific typefaces. Anatomical terminology strictly follows the updated rules and standards of the International Anatomical Nomenclature. The description of body systems adheres to THE PRINCIPLE OF progressing from the general to the specific. Alongside macro-level structure, the text provides concise general overviews of organ Cytology and Histology. It explores not only the Water/140.html">Anatomical Structure of organs, but also their functional, age-related, and sexual characteristics, stages of phy- and ontogenesis, and developmental anomalies.
This textbook is recommended for undergraduate and graduate students in biological and medical majors, post-graduate students, educators, and researchers.
