The wall of the Uterine tube consists of four layers:

- the mucous membrane, tunica mucosa, gathered into longitudinal folds and lined with a single-layer ciliated columnar epithelium;

- the muscular coat, tunica muscularis, which consists of an inner circular and an outer longitudinal layer of smooth Muscle;

- the submucous layer, tela suberosa;

- the serous coat, tunica serosa.

Blood supply to the tube is provided by the tubal Branches of the uterine artery, rami tubarii. Venous drainage goes into v. ovarica.

The Lymphatic vessels drain Lymph from the tubes into the ovarian vessels and lumbar Lymph Nodes.

Innervation of the uterine tube is provided by branches of the ovarian plexus, plexus ovaricus, and the uterovaginal plexus, plexus uterovaginalis.
