Staining: Heidenhain's iron hematoxylin.
Magnification: x400.
Under low magnification, locate an area containing Cells in interphase and various phases of mitotic division. Switch to high magnification to examine the nuclear Structure of these cells. The interphase Cell Nucleus (1) is large, rounded, and features a nuclear envelope, nucleolus, and Chromatin granules. In prophase (2), the nuclear contours remain visible, inside which intertwined chromatin threads can be observed, followed later by distinct Chromosomes (the loose skein stage). In metaphase (3), the chromosomes align along the equatorial plate of The Nucleus. In anaphase (4), the chromosomes migrate toward The Cell poles, forming daughter chromosome groups. In telophase (5), cell body constriction and the stages of daughter nuclei reconstruction are visible.
