The slide demonstrates longitudinal rows of square or rectangular Cells, which include both interphase and dividing cells.

The interphase Cell (1) features a rounded Nucleus with a nuclear envelope, nucleolus, and Chromatin granules. In prophase (2), the Chromosomes

form a dense or loose tangle. In metaphase (3), chromosomes align along the equatorial plane of The Cell. Since we view them laterally, we observe an equatorial plate with the protruding ends of the chromosomes. In anaphase (4), two star-like groups of chromosomes are visible. These are the chromatids that have separated from each other and migrated toward the poles. In telophase (5), the daughter star begins to merge into a more compact Structure, while a cell plate forms in the Cytoplasm between the prospective daughter cells. The cell shape remains rectangular.
