Aerenchyma (Air-Bearing Parenchyma)

Aerenchyma Cells are spherical or have lobe-like outgrowths, which enables The formation of diverse intercellular spaces, intercellular passages, or air cavities between them. These structures facilitate gas exchange between atmospheric air and the plant, as well as between different Tissues within the plant Organs.
