SAFETY PREURES DURING LABORATORY WORK
1. The biochemistry laboratory must be equipped with firefighting equipment (fire extinguisher, sand, Water), a first aid kit, and personal protective equipment (rubber gloves, safety goggles, etc.).
2. Eating and smoking are strictly prohibited in the laboratory.
3. Laboratory coats must be worn at all times. When handling large volumes of concentrated acids and pouring them, safety goggles should also be worn.
4. Hands must be washed after working with Reagents. When working with toxic compounds, you must wash your hands, brush your Teeth, rinse your Mouth thoroughly, and change your clothes.
5. All reagents must be properly maintained and stored in accordance with regulatory requirements.
6. Toxic and explosive substances must be stored in a safe.
7. Avoid touching your face, eyes, and exposed Skin while working with reagents.
8. Any Procedures involving the release of gases must be performed exclusively in a fume hood.
9. Never taste reagents or inhale volatile substances, as they may be toxic.
10. Solutions must be pipetted using specialized devices with rubber bulbs or automated dispensers only.
11. When preparing solutions, reagents should be transferred using a spatula and quantitatively moved into beakers or flasks. Prepared reagents must be stored in tightly closed containers labeled with the compound name, chemical formula, concentration, and preparation date.
12. Before conducting experiments, thoroughly review the protocol and prepare your workstation.
13. Carefully read the operating manual before using any equipment.
14. Safety regulations must be strictly observed when operating electrical appliances and laboratory equipment.
15. In case of skin contact with acids or alkalis, immediately flush the affected areas with a copious stream of water.
