Mouth

The shape of the mouth is determined primarily by the Lips. The lips are formed by the orbicularis oris Muscle and have a distinct topography. The upper lip is longer and projects further than the lower one. Below the nasal septum lies a groove (the philtrum), beneath which is located the central part of the upper lip. This section fits between the two prominences of the lower lip.
