CONCLUSION
This textbook presents modern Perspectives on the biotechnological aspects of microalgae cultivation as efficient producers of a wide range of compounds. It summarizes data on the natural Classification of Algae based on established phylogenetic relationships. General Information on algal physiology is provided, including An Overview of the Structural Features of microalgae as early precursors of both animal and plant organisms. The processes of assimilation and dissimilation in microalgal Cells as photolithotrophic organisms are examined. Furthermore, the Nutritional Requirements of microalgae and the nutrient media used for cultivating biomass with various properties are reviewed.
The second part of the textbook outlines the KEY FEATURES OF major stages in a typical microalgae Processing workflow: liquid-biomass Separation, Cell wall disruption, and the isolation of biosynthetic products. The core processes implemented at each stage, as well as the phenomena occurring during their setup, are discussed. Particular attention is given to the hardware and equipment configuration for microalgal biomass cultivation and subsequent processing stages.
In the section dedicated to mathematical modeling, the authors present their findings on developing experimental-analytical mathematical models for cultivating *Chlorella* microalgae, as well as for extracting intracellular components from microalgae.
The authors hope that the material presented in this textbook will prove useful to students, helping to foster professional motivation and a deeper interest in conducting research.
