Hemorrhagic Pneumonia
Macroscopically, numerous foci of hemorrhages are revealed in the lung. Histological examination shows interstitial inflammation; the exudate contains lymphocytes, macrophages, and plasma Cells. The lumen of alveoli and bronchioles contains A large number of hyaline membranes formed from fibrinous exudate. Acute, rapidly progressive hemorrhagic pneumonia can be fatal.
