Kidney in DIC syndrome

The kidney is enlarged, with petechial hemorrhages visible on its surface. On cross-section, the renal cortex appears pale gray, while the medulla is congested and red. Microscopically, the renal parenchyma reveals stasis, hemorrhages, microthrombosis in the microvasculature, as well as dystrophy and necrotic Changes in the renal tubular epithelium. This condition is associated with Eclampsia. Outcomes include ACUTE RENAL FAILURE, uremia, and death.
