Concentric Myocardial Hypertrophy (compensatory, tonogenic)

We can observe a cross-section of The Heart chambers, specifically the right and left ventricles. The wall of the left ventricle is hypertrophied up to 2 cm in thickness. This type of cardiac hypertrophy develops in Essential Hypertension and valvular heart disease (such as aortic valve stenosis in septic endocarditis). The hypertrophy of Muscle fibers occurs due to the hyperplasia of intracellular Organelles.
