Aposthematous Pyelonephritis

The Kidney is enlarged, flabby, grayish in color, and mottled. Pale gray foci with a diameter (d) of 0.2–0.8 cm are visible beneath the capsule. These are subcapsular abscesses. Microbial embolism is observed when microorganisms spread hematogenously throughout the body, which is frequently seen in Sepsis.
