Fibrinous Pleurisy
The specimen shows a part of the lung with fibrinous films on the visceral Pleura. This is an example of exudative inflammation. Outcomes: resorption of fibrinous films; Organization and scar tissue (adhesion) formation. Causes: Pneumonia (especially Croupous Pneumonia), endogenous intoxication (uremia), tuberculosis, rheumatism.
