Croupous Pneumonia
The specimen shows a grey lung lobe that is airless and has a dense consistency (lobar pneumonia). Croupous pneumonia is an acute infectious-allergic disease affecting one or more lung lobes (lobar pneumonia), characterized by fibrinous exudate in the alveoli (fibrinous or croupous pneumonia) and fibrinous deposits on the Pleura (pleuropneumonia).
