Scheme for studying and describing a radionuclide kidney examination
1. Based on the renography results, determine for each Kidney:
- the height of the vascular segment (mm);
- the height of the maximum curve peak;
- the time to reach the peak height (min);
- the half-excretion period (T1/2) of the radiopharmaceutical agent (RPA), determined by the time required for the curve height to decrease by 50% from the maximum peak;
- determine the type of renogram: normal, obstructive, parenchymal, isosthenuric, afunctional, reflux;
Conclusion: formulate separately for the left and right Kidneys.
2. Based on the renoscintigraphy data, determine:
- kidney position: normal or displaced (dystopia);
- kidney shape: bean-shaped, oval, spherical, indeterminate;
- dimensions of each kidney;
- contour characteristics: distinct or indistinct (blurred), regular or irregular (bosselated);
- character of RPA accumulation in the kidneys: uniform or non-uniform, with the presence of "cold" foci, indicating their number, size, and localization.
Conclusion: kidneys without pathological changes, or renal involvement (diffuse, localized, absence of a kidney, or other changes).
