PARAGANGLIA
Paraganglia are accessory sympathetic Organs closely related to the sympathetic Nervous system (Fig. 3.76). They are located in the region of the aortic bifurcation, the common carotid artery, and major Blood Vessels. Paraganglia contain chromaffin Cells whose function is similar to that of The adrenal medulla.
