Slide 2. Animal liver cells of the axolotl.

Staining: hematoxylin and eosin.

Magnification: x400.

At low magnification, examine the peripheral and central areas of the slide. In the periphery, we observe a layer of densely packed purple nuclei (1). This is the region where lymphocytes are formed. In the center, we see large Cells with distinct single-contour boundaries (2). The cells are polygonal in shape. Their Cytoplasm (3) has a filamentous-granular appearance. The nuclei (4) are purple and round. If the section passes through the center of The Nucleus, clumps of Chromatin can be distinguished within it. Between the Liver cells, pigment cells (5) are found, whose cytoplasm is filled with brown melanin granules, alongside small Blood Vessels—capillaries (6) containing Blood Cells in their lumens (7).
