14.6. BUTYRIC ACID AND ACETONE-BUTANOL FERMENTATION. CLOSTRIDIA

Butyric acid (butyrate), n-butanol, acetone, and propanol are typical Fermentation Products of Anaerobic spore-forming Bacteria (clostridia). Along with clostridia, we will also examine certain specialized bacterial species that produce similar end products during fermentation.
