The gastric wall exhibits an oval-shaped ulcer with margins formed by the mucosal, submucosal, and muscular layers. A perforation hole is visible at the base, through which the omentum can be seen. Ulcer penetration (penetratio) refers to its extension beyond The Stomach wall, whereby the Base of the ulcer is formed by the Tissues of adjacent Organs—such as the Pancreas, lesser omentum, transverse colon, Gallbladder, or Liver.
