Renal Cancer
The specimen shows a Kidney with a malignant epithelial tumor. Malignant epithelial tumors of the kidney are classified into renal Cell carcinoma (also known as hypernephroid carcinoma, which includes clear cell, granular cell, glandular, sarcomatoid, and mixed cell variants) and Wilms' Tumor, or nephroblastoma. Renal cell carcinoma accounts for 90% of all Renal Tumors in adults, whereas nephroblastoma accounts for 20% of all malignant tumors in children.
