Polycystic Kidney

Microscopically, the walls of the cysts are lined with cuboidal or flattened epithelium; sometimes a shrunken glomerulus can be found within them. The renal parenchyma between the cysts is atrophied. Quite frequently, polycystic kidney disease is associated with polycystic lesions of the Liver, Ovaries, Lungs, and Pancreas.
