The liver is enlarged and of dense consistency; fine yellowish granularity is visible On the surface and cut section. Most hepatocytes are replaced by fat droplets, accompanied by nuclear atrophy, destructive changes within the hepatocytes, a mesenchymal-cellular inflammatory reaction, and Connective Tissue proliferation. Consequences: The Development of cirrhosis and hepatic failure.
