Stage I Fatty Liver Disease

This is an example of parenchymal lipomatosis characterized by the accumulation of neutral fats in hepatocytes. Causes include chronic Hypoxia, cardiovascular and chronic respiratory diseases, anemia, intoxication, infectious diseases, and endocrine and Metabolic Disorders. Consequences: 1) removal of the underlying cause may lead to the resorption of fat; 2) prolonged exposure leads to the progression to the next stage of tissue damage.
