Lung Tumors

Lung tumors are classified into benign and malignant. Benign tumors are divided into 2 groups based on their Location (endobronchial and intrapulmonary) and histological Structure (epithelial — adenomas, Papillomas; nonepithelial — hamartomas, lipomas, chondromas, myomas, angiomas); they are rare and have little clinical significance.

Malignant tumors are classified into Primary and secondary, or metastatic. Among malignant tumors, carcinoma is the most common.
