2. HYPERTHERMIA
Hyperthermia, or overheating, is characterized by an elevation of body Temperature above normal values that is not associated with the action of pyrogenic substances. Exogenous and endogenous hyperthermia are distinguished. In exogenous hyperthermia, body temperature rises As a result of heat retention in the body in high-ambient-temperature industrial settings or in regions with hot climates. Overheating under these conditions is facilitated by physical exertion, warm clothing, and high humidity.
