This slide shows sections of the secretory units of the gland in various planes. The walls of the alveolar glands (alveoli, 1) are formed by glandular Cells (2). The nuclei (3) of the glandular cells are located near the basement membrane. Fine granularity is visible in the apical part of the secretory cells. The type of secretion is merocrine.
