6.4. Catabolism of amino acids
Amino Acids resulting from Protein Digestion and delivered to tissue Cells undergo Catabolic and anabolic pathways, as well as specific reactions that synthesize biologically active compounds.
The Catabolism of Most amino acids begins with the Cleavage of the α-amino group. An amino acid loses its amino group through Two Types of reactions: Transamination and deamination.
