Hypoenergetic States

The most common cause of hypoenergetic states is Hypoxia, the onset of which is associated with impaired:

1) oxygen delivery to the Blood, which occurs in case of O2 deficiency in the inhaled air or impaired pulmonary ventilation;

2) Oxygen transport to Tissues due to Circulatory Disorders or a decrease in the transport function of Hemoglobin;

3) mitochondrial Functions caused by the action of poisons and uncouplers.

In addition, hypoenergetic states can be caused by hypovitaminosis, since Coenzymes containing Vitamins are involved in the reactions of common Catabolic pathways and the Respiratory Chain. Thus, vitamin B1 is part of Thiamine diphosphate, B2 is a component of FMN and FAD, Vitamin PP in the form of nicotinamide is part of NAD+ and NADP+, pantothenic acid is part of coenzyme A, and biotin also performs the coenzyme function of CO2 activation.
