4. Measures for the Prevention of Helminth Infections

The system of measures to prevent helminth infections includes:

1) veterinary and sanitary inspection of meat at slaughterhouses and markets;

2) Water purification and protection of water bodies from fecal contamination;

3) sanitary control over the cleaning and sanitation of populated areas;

4) prohibition of using uninfected feces as fertilizers (avoiding The Use of untreated feces as fertilizer);

5) systematic medical examinations (especially in childcare facilities) to identify infected individuals;

6) control of flies, which act as vectors for helminths;

7) proper culinary preparation of meat (sufficient boiling, frying of meat; salting of meat and fish);

8) compliance with personal hygiene rules:

* wash hands thoroughly before every meal;

* maintain the cleanliness of kitchen utensils and tableware, washing them thoroughly with hot water after use;

* protect food products from flies;

* store food waste in closed containers;

* avoid swimming in contaminated water bodies;

* consume only fresh and high-quality foods;

* wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly before consumption, preferably with boiled water;

* dishes requiring thermal Processing should be boiled, stewed, or fried until fully cooked.
