PHYLUM KAMPTOZOA, OR ENTOPROCTA

Kamptozoans are tiny, mostly aquatic, predominantly marine solitary and colonial animals measuring no more than 1 mm in length. About 60 species are known. Kamptozoans have a very simple Structure; their body consists of a calyx and a stalk, with no true body cavity, as the spaces between Organs are filled with parenchyma. There is no Circulatory system. However, the features of their embryonic development and The structure of their larva, which resembles a trochophore, relate this group to other trochophore animals such as Annelids, sipunculans, echiurans, etc. The phylum Kamptozoa includes only a single Class of the same name.
