Sex-Linked Inheritance

If a Gene is located on the sex Chromosomes, the inheritance is referred to as sex-linked. Traits encoded by genes on the X chromosome are called X-linked, and those on the Y chromosome are called Y-linked, or holandric.

X-linked disorders can be either dominant or recessive (Table 6.9).
