Examples of ecogenetic pathological reactions — Ecogenetic pathological reactions in carriers of cystinosis and Fanconi anemia genes

Heterozygous carriers of cystinosis and Fanconi anemia may be susceptible to the Toxic effects of heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium). Elevated lead levels, even if they do not reach the threshold of toxicity, can cause hyperreactive behavior in children with a hereditary predisposition.
