Healing of primary complex foci. During the localization of the primary tuberculous affect in the Lungs, perifocal inflammation resolves first. The exudative tissue reaction is replaced by a productive one: a wall of epithelioid and lymphoid Cells forms around the Caseous Pneumonia focus, demarcating it from the surrounding lung tissue. Caseous masses gradually dehydrate, become dense, and undergo calcification (petrification). Over time, through metaplasia, bone trabeculae form with cells in the intertrabecular spaces.
