Ovarian Pregnancy
The fertilized ovum implants in the Ovary due to impaired patency of the fallopian tubes. Morphologically, the ovarian tissue contains the gestational sac, areas of Hemorrhage, chorionic villi, and a decidual reaction. Causes include chronic inflammatory processes, Congenital Malformations, trauma, and surgical interventions. Consequences involve rupture of the ovary, development of intra-abdominal hemorrhage, Infertility, and dyshormonal disorders.
