Biliary Liver cirrhosis

The specimen demonstrates morphological features of cirrhosis, specifically the disruption of the lobular architecture of the liver. Microscopic examination reveals: hepatocyte degeneration (hydropic, ballooning, and fatty change); hepatocyte necrosis; the presence of regenerative nodules — pseudolobules (enhanced regeneration, presence of mitotic hepatocytes); and diffuse fibrosis (proliferation of Connective Tissue).
