Multiple Ovarian Cysts
An enlarged Ovary up to 6-7 cm in diameter is presented, featuring a nodular surface caused by numerous cystic formations. On cross-section, the cysts contain clear fluid and have a smooth inner lining. These are so-called serous or cilioepithelial cysts. Histological examination reveals atrophied epithelium within the cysts, showing signs of tissue atypia.
