Pubic Symphysis

The pubic eminence (mons pubis) is an elevation located in front of and above the pubic symphysis, formed by the thickening of the subcutaneous adipose tissue. In shape, the mons pubis resembles a triangle with its base directed upward. It is separated from the abdominal region by the pubic groove, and from the thighs by the femoropubic grooves. The Skin of the mons pubis is covered with Hair, which appears during Puberty. In women, the hair growth does not extend onto the abdomen.
