The frog blastula is spherical in shape. Inside, There is a cavity, the blastocoel (1), which is shifted toward one of the poles (the animal pole) of the blastula. This pole, or roof, of the blastula contains small blastomeres (2), which are darker Cells containing brown granules. The opposite pole (the floor of the blastula) consists of large yellow cells (3) and is called the vegetal pole.
