At low magnification, the dentin (1) is visible, forming the bulk of the tooth. Externally on the crown, it is covered by enamel (2). Internal to the dentin lies the coronal part of the pulp cavity - the pulp chamber (3), which contained the dental pulp prior to the preparation of the ground section.

Dentin tubules (canaliculi) (4) radiate through the dentin, anastomosing with one another and branching near the border with the enamel. Some dentin tubules penetrate the enamel, forming club-shaped dilatations known as enamel spindles. In the peripheral areas of the enamel, interglobular spaces (5) can be distinguished at high magnification.

The enamel clearly reveals dark and light bands (Hunter-Schreger lines), as well as fine parallel lines of Retzius. The dentin of the tooth ROOT is covered by cementum (6). The root canal (7) is located inside the root.
