Lycomarasmin

Lycomarasmin, a toxin responsible for Fusarium wilt in tomatoes, was isolated from the fungus Fusarium lycopersici. Hydrolysis of lycomarasmin yields aspartic acid, Glycine, ammonia, and pyruvic acid [408]. It is suggested that this toxin is a peptide whose molecule has the following Structure:

Upon heating or storage of lycomarasmin solutions, it converts into an inactive compound, which appears to be a dehydroalanine derivative [409]:
